Oregon’s 2027 class added more than just another in-state defensive back when Josiah Molden committed to the Ducks. The West Linn corner brings a familiar last name, but what makes him such an important take is not legacy optics or family history. It is the film. Molden already looks like one of the more technically advanced defensive backs in the region, and the progression from his freshman tape to his junior season shows a player whose game has become sharper, cleaner and more complete with each passing year.

That is where this evaluation gets especially interesting. Molden is not simply a good athlete playing corner. He is a corner in the true sense of the word, with patient feet, smooth transitions, disciplined press technique and the kind of instincts that give him real inside-out versatility at the next level. In the full premium breakdown, I dig into what has changed in his game from freshman to junior year, why his polish stands out so much on film, and where his long-term ceiling may be highest in Oregon’s secondary.
